Richard joined Kenya Sugar Authority (KSA) in the position of Mechanical Engineer in 2002. He has remained in the sugar sector for the last 18 years. He has over 28 years working experience in various capacities in both the private and public sectors having worked in Panafrican Paper Mills (E.A.) Limited, General Motors (K) Limited and Sarova Hotels Limited.
Richard holds an MBA in Strategic Management and a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Nairobi and a Post Graduate International Certificate in Sugar Manufacture from Robert Antoine Sugar Industry Training Centre (Mauritius). He is a Graduate Member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya. Richard also serves as a trustee of KSB Staff Pension Fund.
